  1. 1 · Type a topic
↳ A topic goes in; a course writes itself, chapter by chapter. Move over a chapter to highlight it; click to try a new topic.
01

The problem

Learning something new usually means hours of searching through scattered, one-size-fits-all material. Lern skips the search: type any topic and it builds a structured course for you on the spot, with chapters to work through and quizzes to check you understood.

What I built

01

Instant courses

Type any topic and Google’s PaLM (Bard) generates a complete, well-structured course in seconds.

02

Chapters & quizzes

Courses are split into bite-sized chapters, each with its own quiz to test and reinforce what you learned.

03

Progress insights

A dashboard tracks course completion and quiz scores, so you can see where you’re strong and what to revisit.

How it works

Architecture of Lern, one row per user action.
  1. Sign in: the frontend sends “Check token” via Magic.link; the backend does: Verify token; the user gets back “Authenticated”.
  2. Generate a course: the frontend sends “Topic”; the backend does: Prompt via LangChain, then Save course; it talks to Google PaLM (Bard) (“Prompt”, gets back “Chapters & quizzes”); the user gets back “Course”.
  3. Chapters & quizzes: the frontend sends “Open · submit quiz”; the backend does: Query database; it talks to MongoDB (“Read / write”, gets back “Records”); the user gets back “Content · score”.
  4. Insights: the frontend sends “Load progress”; the backend does: Query database; it talks to MongoDB (“Query”, gets back “Progress”); the user gets back “Completion · scores”.
